Those staying at the Franklin Hotel will be hosting sips and light snacks for this duration, or see below for some of our favorite spots to spend time around the neighborhood. Although the reception is Black Tie, there is no dress code for the ceremony - you are also welcome to use this time to get dressed up and refreshed for the night ahead.

RECOMMENDATIONS
This is our home neighborhood and although it was impossible to narrow down, these are our absolute favorites and frequents. Bocado Cafe is right on the corner of the Franklin Hotel and it's perfect for any time of day - we've celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners with our families here over the years. Bemelmans is the upscale piano bar in the Carlyle - a favorite of Jackie O, who used to live in the hotel - if you're stopping in for a drink, note there is a smart dress code after 5:30pm. On the other end of the spectrum, Phil Hughes is the (dive) bar on our corner - it has outdoor seating where you can watch the Yankees games (we're playing the Blue Jays throughout wedding weekend.) They'll let you bring food from anywhere and Roma is a great option right across the street, this is our plain pie homestead. If you want to get to Yankee Stadium at any point, it is just 3 stops away on the 4 Train.
OUR ORDERS
For specialty slices, we go to Marinara Pizza - Kyra recommends the MVP slice, Kevin recommends the Buffalo Chicken slice and we both highly recommend the Mozzarella Sticks. For the mornings, Tal Bagels is a NYC staple - Kevin gets a classic egg sandwich (SPK) and Kyra gets lox and cream cheese on everything (fair warning for the sticker shock on that one.) The Mansion is our go-to diner and you might recognize it from Only Murders in the Building. Chez Nick has one of the best burgers of all time and Maz Mezcal if you're looking for tacos and a margarita... or two... but no more than three (take our word for it!)
THE PARK
As most of you know, Central Park is incredibly special to us. It's where we choose to spend most of spare time and it is also where Kevin proposed. If you want to check out the sights of that epic day, take a stroll around Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir (Lake Jackie as we lovingly know it) and then make your way to Tavern on the Green. Bluestone Lane is a beautiful stop for coffee before you enter the park there. Our other favorite spots include the Women's Rights Pioneers Monument, the Loeb Boathouse and the nearby pond where Stuart Little sailed his sailboat.
HISTORY
Although originally housed in Gracie Mansion, the museum is now directly across the street from another beautiful piece of the park called, Conservatory Garden. We highly encourage you to leave some time before the reception to stroll through these grounds or take photos. When it's time for cocktail hour, you will be able to explore one of the museum's exhibits - Stay tuned for the details on which one we select!
TRAVEL
If you are commuting in for the weekend, take the train and head uptown to the 86th Street neighborhood. You can transfer to the 4/5/6 Trains at Grand Central or walk one block from Penn Station to the Q Train at Herald Square. For the Museum, the closest subways are the 6 Train at 103rd Street or the 2/3 Trains at 110th Street. Laguardia is much closer and more convenient than JFK. Once you're in the neighborhood, everything is in extremely close range - you'll be able to walk to and from all of the hotels and most of these locations, or of course, hail a yellow cab.
PARKING
If you are driving in day-of, please note the ceremony will begin promptly at 3pm. Although it may be possible to find street parking, it will be very difficult and time-consuming. Instead, there is a paid parking garage located directly across from the church at 245 E 90th Street. Near the museum, we would recommend MP Mad 106 at 1568 Madison Avenue. Each of the hotels will have options to recommend as well.
